Yes, these certs are done..BUT it does NOT mean the parents will not produce pups with these problems..so many genetic problems are recessive genes..and that means they can skip generations. I would pick a pup from certified grandparents over the parents if I had a choice.

When they say DNA'ed..they are talking about for ID purposes..there are no DNA genetic tests for Yorkies as yet.

liver shunt..healthy parents can produce LS pups...liver shunt pups for the most part to do not produce anything, they are too ill.
If your Yorkie has not shown any symtoms at 3 yrs, I doubt there is a LS problem.
