These types of dogs are dangerous.
They should be required to be enclosed properly and muzzled while in public places.
If a dog like this attacks the first time, it should be destroyed.
Because it will do it again and the next time it could be a child it attacks.
I have seen first hand what these dogs can do.
I also had a friend attacked by a pit/mix while walking her grand baby in the park.
The couple next door who has 2 small kids are talking about getting a pit.
I told him these dogs are a time bomb waiting to go off.
They won't insure you here if you own one of these dogs either.
If he get one of these dogs he had better keep it pinned up....away from my yard and my Yorkies.
Or he will have a dead dog.
Didn't the pitbull's owner already offer to pay the fines? He said when he can, so he probably doesn't have any money, and unfortunatly if he has no money, suing him won't do anything.

Also remember, not all pits are bad. Because of dogfighting, these dogs have the worst stereotype which is sad, many people hate these dogs and fear them. I found that any breed can be vicous, no matter how big or small. Hopefully if your neighbor gets a pit they will be responsibile with him and the pit will be friendly. But please don't judge a dog just on it's breed
