Hi Teresa and welcome to YT!!!
so your female is not spayed? sounds to me like she may be going in heat and thats why the fighting, but not sure so hopefully someone who has 2 of oppisent sex will come along and answer your question.
I have a 5 mon old female and a 60 pound Husky and when Lillie my york has her bullystix my husky will want to chew on it as well, no matter if they both have one or not, but the good thing is, they take turns, and I have not had any problems with them fighting over it.
