I have a shih-poo (12 pounds) and yorkie (7 pounds) I got the shih-poo at 12 weeks and my yorkie was 1. I've always heard as long as you get the second one as a pup, that you can socialize them without too many problems. My shih-poo eats like a horse. He eats way more than my yorkie boy. The yorkie isn't as lovey dovey to the shih-poo as he would like, he doesn't like to sleep side by side or cuddle up with him (only me.) But they have a lot of fun together. It's been a year this week. I'll definately always have 2 in the future.
