Petco and Patsmart sell a doggy litter pan. One of the sides is a little lower so it's easier for our little ones to step into. My Sadie started out going in it on shredded newspaper. And I switched to pee pads in the box. I love the idea about the plastic canvas thing on top! I'm gonna go buy some tomorrow. You could put the fake grass in the litter box too. It's very light weight and not that big, but big enough to turn around in.

That is what I want to do but I don't know how to get a hgold of the grass in a smaller size. I've emailed K9grass but they never emailed back. I saw the plastic grate at a hardware store (I think that is what you mean by plastic canvas) but have no idea how I would cut that. I don't have any power tools here.
