Congratulations Chestersmom!!! Five puppers - that's a handful! I know nothing about all of this but I can tell you what has worked for me in the past week The first 24 hours, they gained very little. The smallest was 3.05 and by the 3rd day was 3.25. The other was born at 3.50 and by the third day was at 3.70. A very nice YT person connected me with a breeder who told me to give the mother the concoction I mentioned earlier but it sound like your mom is eating - mine wasn't. I thought if you sqeezed the teets you should see milk and in the beginning I did but not now. Another nice person said when they nurse, the milk drops down so it sounds like you are doing everything right. Just weigh them in the morning. I don't know if I can get their tails docked. I may just let them be the way they are. Good luck to you. If you need the breeder's number, I'm sure she wouldn't mind me giving it out. She was very helpful. |
