Default Pooping in crate & other questions

We picked up Zoey (6 months old) last Saturday. She has been pretty good about pottying outside and hasn't gone potty in her crate. Early this morning was the first time that she pooped in her crate. It was about 5 am and I heard her moving around a lot, then I smelled it. So I got up and looked and she had pooped. So I took all the stuff out of her crate and replaced it with the bedding from her crate downstairs. We went outside and then we went back to bed. She slept until about 9 am.

Sadie always cried when she had to go out in the night. Do you think that Zoey will learn that? We got Sadie when she was 9 weeks old. She is now 14 months old. She has regressed in her housebreaking too. She has had a few accidents (which I kind of expected).

At least the 2 of them are starting to play together. But I do have a question about that too. Zoey tends to growl ferociously at Sadie when they are playing. When that happens, I try to separate them and tell them to play nicely. Is this the way they play, or is it something to be concerned about? When I hear them both growling quite a bit, I separate them and tell them they have to play nicely.

Anyone have some words of wisdom on all this? My poor lab is just trying to stay out of the way.

Thanks!
