I've found Yorkies tend to be happiest with a buddy, either another yorkie, or a dog of similar size. They seem to snuggle together, get in to trouble together, well..really do everything together. I remember when I only had ONE yorkie (and one cocker)..the cocker and Yorkie pretty much ignored each other, but when I got the 2nd Yorkie, the 1st one was totally IN LOVE, and they bonded immediately. I think he knew she was "one of him".
when I went to add the THIRD (yeah like pringles! haha) NEITHER of them would take to the 3rd, they snubbed her for about a month, and wouldn't let her be a part of their little private pawty. LOL Bless her heart..lol..it all eventually worked out.. now I have 7 yorkies, a cocker, and 2 5 week old puppies, and everyone gets along beautifully except 2 of my girls, they only dislike each other...not anyone else. Oh well, couldn't have left well enough alone and just had one, right?
