Cars cost A LOT to have! I don't blame you for thinking about doing this. We're going to be dropping down to one car as well, but that's because we're moving. I remember back when my husband and I moved here to SD and didn't have a car. My job paid for a FREE $50 trolley/bus pass every month. So we picked an appartment that was close to the trolley and luckily the place I worked was a block away from it as well. So it was an easy ride on the trolley to work everyday and we managed. I loved not having a car payment/ins/registration/gas/repairs. But my husband finally got here to SD and it wasn't as easy for him. I also got pregnant so we had to get a car.
Anyways, good luck with whatever you choose to do. Don't forget to call the insurance company and tell them that you don't drive the car, it makes a big difference. Registration is also cheaper on cars that aren't driven. |
