When it was getting close to bed time, I would always keep a leash on Daisy. She knew when it was time to go in her crate and she would run like a little maniac. I just step on the leash and I can get her hee hee I don't use it anymore as she will come now and stay. I will start using it with Duke now as he's getting a little "cocky" and running away from me lol
