Feeding from the inside out is a great way to combat this. Solid Gold Flaxseed oil is wonderful. I've used hundreds of products for shampooing flaky dry skin and found Nuetrogena Medicated T-Gel, plus for final rinse 1 part vinager - 10 parts water (this makes sure that all shampoo and conditorers are out.
