Mucous in the poop usually indicates a disturbance somewhere. I would take in a stool sample to be checked for parasites. They usually treat with either a powder or liquid medication for a few days, depending on how much parasite is present. Make sure he is getting adequate fluids cause they can dehydrate easily with diarrhea.
