Default bottles

They work well for many..but not ALL of mine.
My Chopper was not a "drinker" and I got worried..I took a red magic marker and marked the bottle, he averaged 4 oz in 12 hrs from a bottle and 8 from his bowl hanging on the pen..( the reason I remember so well, is the doubled amount) of course I kept him confined alone to test it. I tested him a couple times in month to get an idea. Since he did not eat canned food, there was no other source of water in his diet.

AND..what I noticed with a litter of pups is..they start to lick and within a couple seconds or so they get distracted by another pup or sound and stop and go play. Lapping water from a bowl is just easier to get more in them..but remember puppies usually have other sources of water..perhaps canned, cottage cheese etc..Chopper was an adult male on a dry kibble and I thought he would turn to dust. LOL
