 When do I start to worry?
Or better yet, when do I need to act? I took my dog to the vet for an xray yesterday. Starting at 230 this morning she was having her babies. The vet said he counted 4 babies. The last one is still attached to the afterbirth inside mama. I am afraid to cut the umbilical for fear that she won't pass the afterbirth. My mentor will have some medicine to inject to cause contractions but she is about an hour away. My vet won't be in his office until 9am.
What should I do? BTW, my mentor doesn't know we are having puppies this morning. She wasn't due till the 23rd. Sylvia |
