I am so sorry that little Bandit did not make it. I cannot imagine what you must be going through. These little guys do just "steal your heart". His name was perfect. I know you don't want another puppy now, but you would be wise to leave the possibility open for the future when your grief allows you to consider sharing your lives with another little fur baby. What happened to you is rare. While we cannot totally protect ourselves from the pain life brings, we can learn from it and realize that our lives are richer for having loved, even though we lost that love.
