Yes, they can! That's why I was so scared. I could just see her losing an eye or something and I've been unbelievably lucky with her healthwise. I'm getting a baby gate for the back deck tomorrow and it's going up first thing.
Every time we go out now she heads for the part of the yard next to the neighbor's house trying to see the chickens. Goofy dog!
