I understand from a lot of research that these genetic defects are common in toy breeds. The ideal puppy is one that has been born from a pedigree that has shown to be free of these defects. Maggie came from a breeder of these standards. You will pay more for such a baby, but well worth it. Maggie's breeder even guarantees her babies for two years against defects. Good to know.
