I know most of you have two so could you please offer some advice to how you handled this change.

Also, I'm not looking to get another purebred puppy. I'm a college student and paid A LOT for Maggie. She was worth every penny and I don't regret it a bit. However, I know I can get the love from a puppy no matter whether it is registered or not. I've found a couple here and there: a yorkie-poo, a yorkie-chi, and a yorkie-maltese. They're all only about $150-200 which is outrageously cheap compared to Maggie. Does anyone have any advice about any of these mixes? I don't want to get anything much bigger than Maggie (5pounds) because I live in an apartment and I would hate to do that to a dog. Plus, I don't want to bring in another dog bigger than maggie and there be a struggle for dominance. I'm just looking for suggestions or information about any of these mixes.

Thanks everyone!

It is hard to equally devote your time to 2 or more dogs but it can be done I only travel with Chloe when I go places but thats becasue Tink doesnt like venturing out of the house much so that works out. And of course Penny is a little big to tote around with me lol. BUt they all love to play together and I highly recommend having mulitiple dogs

I think Yorkie/maltese mixes are adorable!
