I've bought peanut butter, bacon, and turkey/rice and I've never had a problem with the smell but the turkey/rice one left a pasty film on Max's paws. I didn't notice it at first so it dried and became crusty and I had to give him a bath after that one. He apparently didn't do a very good job of cleaning his paws himself
