Congratulations!

I have never had only one, but as far as I know, the real danger of only having one puppy comes from the fact that it has lots of room to grow in the uterus and might not fit through the birth canal.

You always have to be on the look out for mastitis no matter whether you have 1 or 5. Her milk will regulate as to the needs of the puppy. Mastitis is usually caused by bacteria entering a mammary duct so just keep everything as clean as possible.
