I think they have pretty much determined that spankingf does no good what so ever as a form of punishment.
I give mine a gentle swat to get them out of something that they are not supposed to be into, but I wouldn't call it spanking.
As a method of house breaking it's pretty much useless cause by the time you get to them they are finidshed an have run off. Stomp your foot clap your hands and make a loud noise to startle them. It's much more effective.
For any other behavior correction, I use the dog whisperers method of a quick touch, and a sound. Just to let them know you don't like what they are doing. |
