That's what we were originally thinking, and then I thought it would be good to be able to move him around when we're out there working in the yard. The main thing I worry about is all the wildlife we have. There are deer, bunnies, chipmunks, squirrels, racoons, skunks, you name it. I'm afraid he'll take off chasing something, or worse, them chasing him. (Our neighbor's dog traditionally chases and skunk and gets sprayed EVERY summer) I think I'm going to take your suggestion and go ahead and fence in an area just for him. If we decide to move him, I can use an expen for that since I'll need one anyway.
