Just a quick question.....Are the food dishes you use plastic? Plastic dishes are not recommended by vets as they can hold bacteria (even if you put them in the dishwasher to clean). This can cause acme and other issues on a canine's chin. They will then scratch, itch and generally break out.
My wife sees this quite often at the vet hospital she works at. Vets tend to recommend ceramic or metal food and water dishes.
