I had a terrible thunderstorm experience the other day. My golden retriever is the one that literally can't handle it. He is usually ok if someone is there with him, he will pant and shake, it's so sad. He was alone once and we came home to pee streaked through the house like he was running scared and was peeing himself. Well I had to take my kids to school and leave him just as the thunder began. I couldn't take him with me so I put him in my bedroom. I came home to pee and poop everywhere. He pooped in front of the door and then stamped all in it and tracked it all over my bed, on the window as if he was trying to get out. It was such a mess. I felt bad for him though. I don't know why some dogs are sooo scared. My other little dogs, truly did not care one bit.
