As you can see I also live in New England!!! Hi neighbor! I got my first yorkie in Feb 2004. So there was snow on the ground and it was too cold to take her out. I went the pee pee pad route. I just got my second yorkie and doing the same thing. IMO I think it is easier to use the pads because of our lovely weather pattern and if you need to be gone for any length of time at least they can use the potty. Also, I don't let my furbabies little toes touch the ground until they have had all their shots...You never know what evil germs lurk out there! I say better to be safe than sorry..
