Barbara, welcome to YorkieTalk! Sophie sounds like our Toto! She has her routine and doesn't like it to change!
We very seldom, ever leave Toto unless we grocery shop or absolutely have to go where we are certain that we can't take her in my bag!! God forbid, we ever have to be gone overnight!
When we first brought her home, everyone close to us would always say, "If you ever need anyone to keep her, please bring her to me"! NOW ... she is soooo spoiled and we are soooo over-protective, they say, "I wouldn't be responsible for Toto for ANYTHING"!
The only person who volunteers to keep her is our vet!! And she always reassures us that Yorkie babies stay with her at night!!
