Me, too. I would just take him right in. I don't believe this would be normal for any type/size of dog. It sounds like he may be having a reaction to something. Sometimes when you call into a vet, you are talking to a receptionist who isn't a tech and isn't a vet and really doesn't know what they are talking about. Always err on the side of caution. Hope your little guy gets better soon.
