Temps will drop to the low 98 degree range, stay there for a while and climb back up. Puppies should be born within 24 hours.

With that said, there is NOTHING set in stone.

Gracie's first whelp, her temp dropped to low 96 degree range and we had pups by the next morning.

Second whelp, she didn't drop that low but in high 97 degree range.

But, each dog is different.
