Default How can I tell if my yorkie boy has "dropped"?

I have a yorkie boy who is about 4, 4 1/2 months old and I'm just wondering what age do they usually drop? This is my first yorkie and I want to get into breeding in the next couple of years. My husband said that there is a "bulge" down there and that he's going to drop soon but then again my husband has never bred toy dogs either. This is my own little project, lol. Anyways, he has become very friendly with one of his stuffed animals lately too.

Also, what is the best way to get into breeding? I know everyone has to start somewhere, but I'm not sure where. My Quincy is AKC and I have full registration privileges with him, but most of the websites I have been on for breeders in my area have spay/neuter contracts or limited registration. Do I just keep looking until I find the right female to pair him with? Any advice would be appreciated. I don't really know anyone else with experience.
(I live in CA, in the bay area.)
