Before I read on here to use a harness not a collar I was using a collar (not much b/c we don't put her on a leash much) but she hated it and would just and flip and yelp. I really thought it was going to break her neck so I would only put it on her to go to the vet and then just carry her (just so I could say she had a leash on). We don't really walk her much either because she runs plenty in our yard but we've taken her a couple of times on the harness and she just prances right along.

I don't know for sure if you can continue using as you were. I would think that if it isn't hurting her and its working for you sure go for it, but I'm not certain. Just make sure you watch it real careful for a while. Is it easy for her to get out of?
Don't worry...you didn't offend me

No she hasn't been able to get out of it...I don't think she could because the 2 loops are under her armpits ad then over her back. I'm going to try it the way you do tomorrow though and see how that works.

I liked the looks of the H-harness that someone posted a picture of earlier...it looks like it doesn't go around the neck at all. I may try getting one of those soon. We need a good one because we take lots of walks. It's her favorite thing. Next Saturday we are walking in our local zoo parade...I'm trying to get her used to groups of people.
