I think she's beautiful!
I know exactly how you feel when you say it keeps changing at the roots. Mine is still doing that and she's now 16 months old. I notice now she has some black hairs sprinkled through her coat on her back! It's like watching the transformation of a rainbow sometimes!
Below is a picture of mine when she was 8 months old. You can see where the black starts on her sides.
