I had great difficulty resizing the dress to fit. So to make a pretty dress I recommend you use the vest pattern (that seemed to resize properly) to make the top part of the dress and don't resize the skirt bit. I've made a couple heaps of pretty little dresses with this pattern. I used iron on transfers, lace anglaise, and ribbons to make each little dress different and special.
