How'd I miss this thread? Did you do it? I tried googling it and couldn't figure out what 'nested' means for sure. I think it might mean that it's set up in a way that you don't have to do the whole course. You get a choice of which course you want to run.
Simon will be an absolute star! We're only just starting out, but it seems like energy is the #1 most important quality in this sport, especially for Yorkies.
Check your local obedience schools. They should have a series of agility courses you can take, depending on how serious you want to get. I started with a fun class called "Jumpers," and I'm glad I did. It wasn't so intimidating where they had to learn scary new tricks every week. They just jumped.
I think it's so cool that more YTers seem to be getting involved in agility!
