I did the same thing, fretted and fretted until last week I did it. Jack (6 months) feels and looks so much better, I asked for a "puppy cut" about 1" long, and asked that they leave the hair on his ears and to make sure they didn't cut his long eyelashes off. I kept thinking "well it will always grow back if I don't like it", but it was fine. All that fretting for nothing.
