L.P., from what I've read, can be hereditary, congenital, or injury related. She seems rather adamite that it's not genetic, and these are the defects that she warrants her dogs for greater than 7 days for. If you want her to do something about the dog (replacing it...) you need to ask her directly if she is willing to do that. You'll have a hard time proving genetics.
