Hi and welcome to YT. I am so sorry about Peeka - don't give up hope - in the past two weeks, three have been lost but found!!!
Your new little guy is very cute. Have you tried an ex-pen rather than just the crate when you are doing things like dishes? That would give him much more space and maybe be closer to you. There was another post today about some kind of dog suggly that is like a heating pad with a heartbeat in it. I have no idea how much they cost, but since he is so young, maybe this might help him adjust as well??
I think the name "beans" is cute, but you could go with B.B. (for Beanie Baby) and I also like the suggestion of TY. Best of luck to you with your still nameless little boy and I'm sending out thoughts and prayers for Peeka to return home to his family.
