I didn't mean anything by the instructions comment. I really meant I could be making it up. I just put it on Reagan and I think that since they are so short and probably right under foot it wouldn't put much pressure on the neck. It seems like it would put pressure on the chest but I'm not sure. She doesn't seem to mind it though. Before I read on here to use a harness not a collar I was using a collar (not much b/c we don't put her on a leash much) but she hated it and would just and flip and yelp. I really thought it was going to break her neck so I would only put it on her to go to the vet and then just carry her (just so I could say she had a leash on). We don't really walk her much either because she runs plenty in our yard but we've taken her a couple of times on the harness and she just prances right along.

I don't know for sure if you can continue using as you were. I would think that if it isn't hurting her and its working for you sure go for it, but I'm not certain. Just make sure you watch it real careful for a while. Is it easy for her to get out of?
