Call and ask your vet if the results of the bloodwork will be available before surgery, if not make another appointment before the surgery. Some vets have labs right in the office so it's not a problem.

Isoflurane gas and also Sevoflurane gas are used with toy breeds. Make sure they don't give a preanesthesia barbituate injection. If you are unfamiliar with your vet ask directly if he has experience with toy breeds and anesthesia.
