I have already been through losing an entire litter, and losing a premie, and it is very dishearting to go through, but I was determined I would continue, and I kept researching for things I could do to assure my bitches health and that of the pups that I would produce. I have learned, and I will continue to learn every time I breed to produce a litter. I also know that any that I do produce, and if I sell any that I am still responsible for those puppies until they die. When I do sell one, it is in my contract that if for any reason what so ever, the buyer can not, or does not want to keep the dog, at any time during its life, it is to come back to me. Also, if it is discovered that the pup/dog is abused in any way I can take the dog back without refunding any of the purchase price and may even proscute the person. These are all things that have to be thought about too. I certainaly do not want any puppy that I produced to end up in a shelter, or worse in a puppymill. | You sound like such a responsible breeder, I want to commend you for that. I in no way wanted to insult you. There is just so much that can be learned from you and your experiences, I was hoping it would easier to bring up the subject of breeding and discuss. I am sorry for your very sad experiences and losses with your puppies. I am glad you have continued on. |
