I asked my last vet if they did x-rays or ultrasounds for pregnant females and he said no and they did not have the equipment to do so. He said he could tell how many puppies the mother was carrying and had no problems with the mother's delivering. He also said that all the pregnant females he dealt with were not planned breedings but were all the results of "accidents". Needless to say, I have a different vet now, one that is well educated on breeding and whelping and can do x-rays and ultrasounds if that is what I want.
If I were you, I would look for a new vet, one that could accommodate all of your pregnant female's needs. |
