It's not that she can't hold it. It's that she doesn't have to hold it. How come you can hold it all night but not during the day. Because you are up moving around.
It is not easy to get the message to them that this is the worng place and that is the right place. You just need to keep trying different things. Till you figure out how to get the message across.
Mine know that in the kitchen to use the pee pad, but in the living room they don't know that. So I just keep them in the kitchen until I have time to watch them and after know they have gone outside. We're still working on it.
You could try putting her on a leash and keeping her tied to you so you know when she is about to go and then rush her outside and praise her.
It's not easy. We all share your frustration, but keep telling yourself, she is not doing it deliberatedly, she just doesn't know any better.
Have you ever potty trained a child? that's not easy either and they speak our language. LOL
I would not give her run of the entire house until she knows where she's supposed to go. |
