I was so looking forward to today. Our local kennel club was having its annual dog show on Sunday and Monday. I wanted to go and see the Yorkies in the show ring. When we arrived I was amazed to see all the big trailers and motorhomes, people all set up under trees with their dogs on the grooming tables, all the cages and gadgets people had.
Yorkies were scheduled for ring six. So we planted outselves ringside and sat through the cockers, maltese, italian greyhounds and havenese. I kept looking around for Yorkies to start milling around. Last up were the Yorkies and when they called them to the ring...none of them showed up!!! We were so disappointed.
I asked the ring attendant why and her opinion was that this was not a three point major show and perhaps that if the dogs that were entered needed just that to finish this show was not worth the expense to attend. There were 1217 dogs entered in this show with 131 different breeds.
Oh well, just another day in my dog world!
