Heck, I won't leave my "girls" in the car alone while I go in to pay for gas. (I now pay at the pump if I have them with me). Of course, equal to the fear that something could happen with the car, is my SURE conviction that they are so adorable that someone would bash out the windows to the car and steal them.
I totally agree with this. Much as my Maggie loves being taken along on errands (She just LOVES the car!), unless it's to go through a drive through (We have drive through pharmacies, banks and dry cleaners...all of which give her dog biscuits and tell her how adorable she is!), her little furry butt is at home. I love her (and now Molly) WAY too much to leave her alone in the car.
Kudos to you for calling the police!! (BTW, in Berea where I live, they give tickets for leaving either children or animals unattended in autos, so we really dont' have a lot of it). |
