It's awful, isn't it? I'm the same way. I can't forget them. There's a small store here that mostly sells pet supplies and fish, but occasionally they have puppies. I hadn't been in there in years, but one evening I was waiting for a take-out order from a nearby restaurant and I went there intentionally to see if they had any puppies. I wasn't wanting one. I just wanted to see how they looked if they did have any. I guess I like to punish myself.

The store owners looked at me weird. I kind of wonder if they wondered if I was some kind of inspector or something. They had two little chi's and I think the other one was a poodle, but the poodle wasn't a puppy or it didn't look like a puppy and it looked so dirty. It looked sad, too. I felt so sorry for that dog. One of the chi's was barking at me and wanting to play. The other chi wasn't so feisty, but it looked healthy enough. But the poodle is what I still remember. I hate that place because they sell puppies occasionally.
