I think what they ment is if your crate training, the crate should be just big enough for her to stand and turn around in, not to let her potty in the crate cause they get in a habit going in there. these ladies has a pen. they are very nice and gives lots of room. i've had very good luck with the peepads even with my young pups 6-7-8- weeks good luck what ever you do. we also have a doggy door and they go out also when weather permits.
