will grow hair...it's not really long enough yet to lay flat - I noticed with my girls it took at least a year for the hair to actually lay flat...Yorkies seem to go thru a hair disaster spell - at least mine did - the hair changes color - texture seems to change - then the adult hair grows in. I'm no expert - this is only MY experience
