I have a female that I would like to show but do not have any idea where to start. I was thinking of taking her to start to UKC. Actually I was thinking more of myself as I have NO SKILLS. I have gone to the UKC website to look for shows in my area but have no idea how to understand if they are all breed shows or what?

I am looking to take her to a conformation class in the fall. She is just 4.5 mos old now.

Could anyone tell me if they know of any shows, etc. that will be happening in the Mid Michigan area in the next few months, I'd like to go. It doesn't necessarily have to be UKC. I'd love to go to an AKC show as well.
