My puppy will be a year on the 28th. And he had a phase where he would poop outside all the time, Which was great. And then he went back to pooping behind the couch (his favorite spot, but not mine!) and peeing on the carpet still. And now he always uses his pee pad to pee, but won't poop outside. So I think it is a phase, just when he does do it right give him treats. Stump will pee and come find someone and bark for his treat.
