I got it as a Christmas Gift from My mother in law... Brian and I read it out loud to each other... towards the end... we had to take turns every other page cause we were both crying so hard we could not read it!!! We had labs... My Maggie is Cremated and sitting by the Fire Place right now.... She was an amazing Lab!!!
It was the hardest book for us to read!! But we loved every minute of it!!!
I have purchased 4 copies as gifts for other people since then, and gave my book away to a guy who owned the eyeglass store in town... He had a 14 year old yellow lab, who went to work with him every day... and you just knew that one day you would walk by and not see him laying in the doorway... he would sprawl out and block the entrance! lol The shop owner was always reading... So I stopped in oneday and gave him my copy... He was caught off guard.. but he thanked me...
I just hope that he enjoyed it as much as I did!
