HI, I have a 6 mo old yorkie that I've had for about 3 weeks now. She is 2.5 lbs. She has recently started lifting her left hind leg and refusing to bear weight on it. I know the possible causes of this are: hip dysplasia, perthes, or luxating patella. I will be taking her to the vet, but can't get there til Saturday. I was wondering what the symptoms of these 3 ailments are? Is one more likely than the other? Also, what is the prognosis and extent of treatment? Anything I can do to relieve the symptoms right now?
